Alice: Oh man! What do I do? What do I do?
Jen: Why are you freaking out?
Alice: Ugh! I’m freaked out because I accidently dropped my car keys where the elevator door opens and closes! What do I do?
Jen: Don’t worry. We can retrieve it. Let’s go to the lobby security and tell him what had happened. He would be able to help you.

이어 Alice가 “Ugh! I’m freaked out because I accidently dropped my car keys where the elevator door opens and closes! What do I do? We can retrieve it. Let’s go to the lobby security and tell him what had happened. He would be able to help you.

To freak out means to become very excited, surprised or upset to the point of irrational behaviors. It simply means to lose ones’ self-control and go ballistic.

In today’s conversation Alice is freaking out because she accidently dropped her car keys in between the elevator doors. "Why are you freaking out?"

“Lisa freaked out when she saw a spider on her desk.”

Here is another example sentence. “I freaked out and got very upset when I found out I didn’t pass the test.”
