* Where are we going? “우리 어디로 갈까요?”라는 의미. 택시를 탔을 때 “어디로 모실까요?”하는 뜻으로도 사용합니다. “Where to, sir?” 또는 “Where to, ma’am?”이라는 표현도 사용하지만, 실제로는 다양한 표현을 사용합니다. “Where should I take you?” “Where shall I take you?”라고도 하지요.

* Pardon me? 상대방의 말을 잘 알아듣지 못했을 때 하는 말. I beg your pardon?을 줄인 말. Come again? 또는 What did you say?라고 해도 됩니다.

* CrestHill Suites: 호텔이름, ‘suites’은 거실과 침실 등을 갖춘 스위트룸 중심의 호텔을 말합니다. 최고급 호텔의 스위트룸은 화려하고 비싼 것으로 알려져 있지만, 요즈음은 ‘one room suite’라고 해서 중저가 호텔에서 상당히 저렴한 요금으로 숙박할 수 있는 객실이 많습니다.
* drive: 거리, ~로(路). 미국의 길 거리 이름은 Road, Boulevard, Street, Avenue, Drive 등…
